Skylar shook her head "he chews gum constantly...I think he sleeps while chewing it" she said noticing the girls nail polish. "You paint your own nails?" She asked.

"He doesn't eat mints, it's his gum", Celestine said, avoiding the question.

"Well...let's hope he doesn't choke." Felicity said, her eyes widening in innocent worry. She examined her hopeless nails, then sighed quietly.

"Yeah, I've never had anyone to do it for me." She admitted, scuffing her perfect, white shoe in the dirty woodchips, forever staining it, if only slightly.

"If you like him so much," she added. "Why don't you tell him." She suggested, placing a hand on Skylar's slender wrist.

She turned to Celestine. "You can tell us, you know, we're your friends."

"Fine, Rinami", Celestine admited. He looked at his beatle boot and how perfect it was, never scuffed and not dirty at all.

"Oooh, she's pretty." Felicity agreed enthusiastically, then stared up at the sky, her jaw slacking momentarily at the beauty of it. She linked her fingers with both Skylar's and Celestine's. Savoring the moments, these are the type of moments she never had on the streets. She tensed, waiting for any gun shots, not relaxing even after none came.

"It's great." She said, laughing. "You like the gum addict and he's a nicotine addict. Back on the streets, little boys would chew gum-Spearmint, I believe-to mask the scent of tobacco on their breath. Maybe you should like both of them." She said, nudging Skylar playfully.

"I've never liked anyone in my life." She said, sounding proud of herself. "I don't fall victim to such an illusion as love."

"People are surprised I do", Celestine remarked, his hand squeezing Felicity's.

"Even I'm surprised....you seem kind of...gayish emoey, maybe?" She said and giggled, gently squeezing his hand back. She turned to Skylar again.

"But really, tell him. I've never met him, but he doesn't seem mean, maybe he'll surprise you and like you back. That'd be great." She said, a happy gleam in her eyes.

"Gay", Celestine asked and giggled?

Skylar watched the young girl "I will do them if you want" she said flinching at the stained shoe. "You like blue?" Skylar asked.

"I'm not good with feelings" she said "besides who wants to be turned down" she added her blue orbs meeting the younger girls. "Wait...love, who said I was in love" she asked raising an eyebrow.

"Definitely gay," Felicity answered, smiling in return, a genuine one, none of that facade crap. "I hope you and Chase work out." She said to him, laughing at her own joke.

She smirked at Skylar. "Yes, my favorite colors are light blue and white, they go with my eye color." She said, twirling a white braid and blinking one icy eye slowly.

"Who says he'd turn you down? And it's obvious you love him. Whenever you talk about him you get this look on your face...it's just...obvious."

"Haha, thank you", Celestine said playing along with the joke. We looked at Skylar as her face turned blood red.

"Mmmm....although, Skylar, I'd be warned. He IS a redhead, they can be pretty arrogant and feisty at times. And you seem too peaceful for him...Just give him to Celestine." Felicity said with a laugh, she turned to Celestine again.

"Who's top?" She asked with a completely straight face, before bursting out in her melodic laughter again.

"I believe that would be Chase", Celestine joked.

Skylar sighed "well, I like things the way they are and if Chase wants to be more he should tell ask me" she said trying to control her blush.

"Besides Celestine seems to have made it to first base" she teased "oh and I have light blue" she said.

Felicity bit her lip to keep in another round of laughter, and shivered. "Where's the minty smell going?" She wondered aloud as the wind whisked through. "It was pleasant...."

Felicity sighed in annoyance, "Well, he'll never know if he should make the move if you don't drop hints. Does he flirt? Is he nice? Well hint back or he'll lose interest." She'd seen this happen on the streets a hundred times.

Celestine started laughing, "You should drop hints if you want to be more", he agreed.

"Does he?" Felicity asked, looking up at both Celestine and Skylar. "'Cause if he doesn't drop hints then screw it." She said, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a lollipop.

"Cool, so you could do my nails for me?" She asked Skylar, turning her head.

Skylar looked at her "yes he's nice, but I'm not sure I know how to flirt" she said with a blank stare. "I'm not like most girls my age" she said confused.

"I don't know how to flirt either, or I'd help you." Felicity sighed, perplexedly. "Hmm...when all else fails-ask Celestine!" She turned to face the older boy.

"How do girls flirt?" She asked.

Skylar nodded "yes how do girls flirt?" She asked.

Chase came around the corner nonchalantly, hands in pockets, a bubble of spearmint gum popping on his lips.

"What about me and flirting? I could've sworn I heard my name." He said, one eyebrow quirked slightly. He sat next to Skye, draping one arm lazily across her shoulders.

"Sorry, I went exploring." He said, his voice quiet, his breathing slow and content.

((In reality, my little sister Felicity wanted to make an account and meet you two, I had to let her have the computer until bed time.))

"Well, to be honest I don't know too much", Celestine admited, "I would suggest hugging, touching, tickleing. You know, make physical contact". Although he dedicated his life to becoming a detective, flirting was one thing he never read up on.

Chase momentarily choked on his gum. "WHAT?!" He coughed some more. "Dude, what are we talking about? You sound like you're directing a porno." He cleared his throat, pulling his endless pack out of his pocket, and inserting another piece into his mouth.

"That was the most awkward thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth." He said, running a hand through his hair. "It depends on the personality of who you're flirting with, really."

skylar nodded and looked away "but we do touch and hug, thought he does it first" she said to herself. "Couldn't I just kiss him?" She asked hoping it was that simple.

"If you think that'd be sufficient. I don't know this guy, so whatever you think would work, really." He popped another bubble, smiling at her, even though her head was turned away. He used the hand that was draped around her shoulder to play with a black strand of her hair, it was so soft.

"I love your hair..." He murmured, twisting it around his finger. It was still slightly wavy from earlier when he'd braided it.
