Skylar smiled at him "I usually wait for them to bleed to death, or I cut out their lungs" she said rubbing Lucifer on the head.

"You become depressed, from thinking?" She asked Hikami turning her eyes to him. "You seem happy" she added talking to herself, mostly.

"Either way, you could incorporate all of our favourite ways of killing. For example, you could stab someone in the eye with a gun, you could stick it in their mouth and then shoot it, and etcetera." Kirai said.

Hikami smiled back. "I stab them in unimportant places where they will bleed to death, however, I'm fairly fond of Lucifer." He looked at Rinami, a smirk on the shadow of his mouth. "Those are funny too."

He turned back to Skylar. "Well, there's three of me. Sometimes four, there's the me me, which is now. The Not-Me who's stark raving mad, and then the Sad and Serious me. Add to that my bipolar disorder and you just have a huge MESS." Hikami said, chuckling.

"I can't believe we're having this conversation," Rinami mumbled to herself. She suddenly took a fork and chopped off a piece of the thing in the middle of the table and stuck it in her mouth out of curiousity.

Hikami gagged exaggeratedly. "EW! OH MY GOD!" He yelled out, laughing with giddiness and gleed.

'So this is what I've been missing out on...' he thought to himself, suddenly he stopped laughing and talking, his face becoming sad and hollow again.

"No," he said aloud. "This is what I still don't have...."

Rinami's face distorted in discust, and she quickly spit the thing into a napkin. "Bleeeeh that was gross!" she said, then started to laugh.

Hikami forced himself to smile at Rinami, but it didn't touch his eyes as the previous ones had. His hands had begun their restless fidgeting again as he tried to hold on to the last fleeting edges of surreal happiness.

"I told you." He said quietly, solemnly. Forcing a laugh which ended up being a harsh bark with no humor. He stared out the window again, watching the night sky pin him onto this earth. Suddenly he felt....


....trapped.

"Well, I would say that a was a strange and sudden change of attitude." Kirai said eying Hikami. Kirai patted her friend's shoulder, not really caring, but doing so anyway.

Skylar asorbed everything he told her. "So do go to the Melancholic Academy?" she asked now curious if she had made a school friend. "Because I have just been accepted" she stated. Smiling excitedly at the sudden change in Hikami, she had never seen someone have on episode.

Turning to Rami she raised an eyebrow "is that thing moving on it own?" Skylar asked pointing to the stuff.

Hikami forced another smile at Kirai, shrugging her hand off of him gently. He pushed one hand against the window, a last-ditch effort to get the sky off of him.

"I feel stuck...like I can't breathe." He whispered. His voice wavering slightly, his eyes beginning to lose focus on the real world.

"And yes," he said, calmly, almost too calmly to Skylar. "I do go to the Academy...."

"Oui, are you okay?" Rinami asked Hikami, squinting at him, "You look...unwell."

"I'm f-fine." He murmured, his hands beginning to tremble nonstop, he picked up his fork, turning it over in his hands, when he dropped it, it clattered noisily, drawing the waitress' attention.

Skylar looked towards him and then the women. "Is he...ok?" She asked softly, unsure if she should be freaking out. Should I just sit here or talk to him she pondered watching his every move.

Hikami's eyes widened even more in his pale face, his teeth were chattering his jaw clenching and unclenching, and still, he attempted to latch onto sanity.

"I-I'm f-f-f-fin-n-ne." He said, not even sure if anyone could understand him.

Kirai shrugged at Skylar and removed her gun from her sleeve, prepared. She said,"Perhaps you should leave," glaring needles at the waitress who had come over.

Rinami stared at Kirai, then the gun in her hands, then at Hikami. ".....You're not fine," Rinami said, once again squinting at him.

Placing a hand on Hikami's arm Skylar smiled and nodded. "Okay" she said showing she understood what he was saying.

Hikami brushed Skylar's arm off quickly, wincing away from her, then looked with fearful eyes at Kirai, then at the waitress. He didn't give her a chance to leave, instead he pounced on her clawing angrily at her slim throat, shrieking incoherent words at her.

He stopped, momentarily, looked at Rinami. "I'm f-f-fine." He said again. "There's a monster attacking her throat, though." He said, his eyes wide with fright, before returning to her throat, this time ripping at it with his teeth, not even realizing he WAS the monster.

Kirai jumped up and kicked Hikami's side. She pulled out her gun, and had her index finger resting steadily on the trigger. She narrowed her eyes.

Realization finally struck Rinami, but she just sat back and watched everything happen.

Immediately Hikami rolled onto his side, staring up at Kirai, he sat up, grasping her wrist in his hand, he positioned the barrel of the gun right on his forehead.

"Go ahead," he said, his voice huskier than usual, "Shoot him. Do it, shoot the only person who might have a link to your past. Shoot your newest friend. I dare you."

Malicious laughter bubbled into his throat.

Skylar smiled widely at he scene before her. "Strange" she said to herself.

"Are you going to shoot him?" She asked looking at he gun. "If not I have to go to bed before I miss my Eight hours of sleep" she said standing.

Rinami leaned foward in her seat, watching the scene unfold. The only thing missing is the popcorn, she thought.

"Oh she'll shoot him..." The Not-Hikami said in that bone chilling hiss of his. He reached up and placed his hand over Kirai's on the trigger.

"Right?" He whispered, looking up at her with crazed, desperate eyes.

Kirai's mouth pressed into a firm line, as a million thoughts spiraled uncontrollably through her head. She wished she had an easel to smash onto his head right now, but decided on something else. Kirai dropped the gun, but soon kicked Hikami hardly in the stomach. Kirai jumped backwards and grabbed some of the disgusting "thing" Rinami had eaten earlier. She threw it at the waitress and shouted at her,"Go now!"
