Name: Chase Amu
Age: Seventeen
Day of Birth: May Fourteenth
Gender: Male
Height: 5'6
Weight: 97.2 lbs (anorexia, remember?)
Description: Chase has a normal, clear complexion of light peach. His hair is a bright red that makes it difficult for him to hide from his mother when he's in trouble, his eyes match it, giving the boy a slightly creepy look. His teeth are usually white and gleaming, and he's always got gum in his mouth. His features are sharp, the bones protruding from his skin in weird, jaunty shapes, and he's still got some boyishness around his chin. His hair is shaggy from many attempts to give himself a haircut, but that's okay, he thinks it suits his slightly rough personality. He's usually wearing button-down T-shirts that bag off of his thin body, and blue jeans. He's an accessory fanantic, so he usually accessorizes to the max, bracelets, ties, anything.
Personality: Chase has grown up knowing he's beautiful, this making him very conceited and confident. He acts tough but underneath he's just a big softie. He wouldn't admit it, but he's very trusting and childish. He becomes protective quickly, he's possessive and loud. He's skittish on the inside which totally contradicts his tough facade. He gets nervous around girls, and stutters nonstop, so usually he's just quiet, this making him seem cold.
He's convinced he can see spirits and talk to them. Demons, as well, and sometimes he goes a little insane and tries to kill the people who possess the demons. You can always tell if he's about to snap because his eyes become surprisingly clear and he seems...detached. However, he always feels bad for hurting the people afterwards and will do anything to make up for it.
Past: Chase was born into a very rich family in the USA on a beautiful spring day. He had a normal childhood and became popular fast. As he grew, people began to comment on how beautiful he was, constantly girls would fall over themselves and each other when he walked by. He was never into sports, but could play violin, and piano, and also wrote poetry, appealing to girls as the "stoic yet sensitive" type.
However, his homelife was very different. At home his mother would constantly pinch his bony sides, telling him he was gaining weight and to lose more. She'd always ruffle his hair and tell him it was getting too long, she always made him feel like a piece of crap. He wanted to please her, so he stopped eating and took up sports, anything he could find, he'd do it. This made him more popular in school and caused him to rapidly lose weight. It was a win-win situation.
Or so he thought, a few years later, on his fifteenth birthday he came home to a shocking discover. His mother had hung herself from a living room rafter. Chase's father was out on a business trip and he didn't quite know what to do. He couldn't cry, but he did, however take her body down and lug it to the river, throwing it in and watching the clear waters untangle her long, red hair.
That's about when he started seeing the "spirits" at first they were just a sparkle in the light, a quickly moving shadow, something every paranoid teen sees. But so they manifested into actual people, people he didn't know, but who seemed to want to befriend him. He began to talk to them, late into the night he'd carry on long conversations, after all, he couldn't sleep anymore or the nightmares would come...
His father could hear him. He wanted to help him, but the various therapists he'd taken his son to had turned up dead only weeks later. He had a feeling he knew how that was happening, but what kind of father would turn in his own son? Searching through books and websites he found Melancholy Academy, not only would his son get professional help, he'd also get schooling....
Likes: Chase acts as though he doesn't particularly like anything, however, he loves to read, watch movies, text and chew gum. He also likes getting compliments, and making friends. He likes animals, and trying to help people, even when he fails. There are some downsides though, he enjoys hurting people and making them bleed, and although he's never told someone he's a masochist and enjoys hurting himself sometimes...
Dislikes: He doesn't like being confined and secluded. He hates rap music and eating, he can't stand over-happy people, and people that tell him they understand. How can they? They don't live in his mind. He won't tell you, but he hates suicide, needles, and the sterile scent of hospitals.
DISEASES: Anorexia-Nervosa, Schizophrenia, Masochism, Insomnia, a nightmare disorder, and a Homicidal disorder.
